Stephen joined Vislink plc in September 2004 as Managing Director of its satellite systems division, Advent Communications . Under his leadership a complete review and re-organisation of the business was implemented. Advent has expanded its global reach opening offices in Singapore and Dubai as well as strengthening its position in North America; this has resulted in significant global wins resulting in Advent exporting 87% of its turnover to 33 countries.

Prior to joining Vislink, Stephen spent 6 months with Pixology plc, a leading provider of innovative software and services in the digital photographic industry, overseeing the roll out of major retail digital photo networks in the USA and UK.

From 1993 until 2004 Stephen held several senior roles within the Datacard Corporation, a world leader in secure I.D and credit card personalisation systems, latterly responsible for subsidiary operations in the UK, France, Germany and Spain. Stephen created strong groups spanning geographies and culture, positioning Datacard as a major supplier of solutions in the financial and intelligent identification markets. Stephen was also involved in several acquisitions and mergers during his tenure with Datacard.

Prior to that Stephen was Business Unit Director for Spectra-Physics corporation for 6 years. Spectra-Physics are a leading supplier of laser based data capture systems for the point-of-sale and stock applications. Stephen was responsible for the EMEA sales and technical teams.

Stephen spent 5 years with Copal Systems, the Japanese manufacturer of photographic processing systems and equipment, introducing the “one hour” photo print service into the UK high street.

Stephen started his career with an Olivetti subsidiary as a key account manager and training new recruits.
